and so it began

For the sake of starting fresh lets start at our beginning. B and I were destined to be. His dad's family lived in the same neighborhood as my Dad's family. B's Uncle and my Dad are childhood friends. As if that connection isn't enough let's travel a few hundred miles north from Provo to the small town of Soda Springs, Idaho where B's mom's mom went to high school and my mom's dad went to high school together.
Mind blown right? No? Humor me anyways.

Fast forward to when Brett was 10-11 and I was 11-12. Brett's family was living in his dad's childhood home and my grandparents were still living just a few blocks away.  I was living in NC but was in Utah for a visit.  Long story short I ended up hanging out with him while I was visiting for the summer. I was preteen and much to cool for Utah so let's just say B wasn't to impressed with me. When we reconnected 8 yrs later through the same cousin who had introduced us the first time, he asked if it was the witchy or some word that sounds similar cousin that was coming to the concert.  Yep that was me, I leave lasting impressions on people!
This was mid January.  Valentines day was our first date, we were  an official couple before the end of the month and living together before my birthday on March 8th. What can I say? When you know you know.

We were married 2 1/2 yrs later on April 29, 2006, moved to St. George, Utah  a week later, both started new jobs and then I quit my job to take up residence at Dixie hospital's IV center where I had daily transfusions of fluids and the wonderful drug Zofran which would become a regular resident in our home over the next 8 years.  Our first child Brinley was born on December 30th, 2006.

We have now been together 10 yrs. We have made new friends, smoked way to much pot ended friendships, drank way to much, been through 8 moves, lost family members and pregnancies, had life saving surgery, mounds of medical debt, we have traveled to Hawaii, changed jobs or job locations 7 times and have 4 to many  awesome kids with awesome artificial dye allergies that turn them into less than pleasant totally possessed kids.  We now are proud owners of a king size bed and Nissan Armada to accommodate our crazy crew. We have two girls and two boys.  Brinley ( Minnie) is 7 followed by Ella Presley ( Pete) who is 4, Ryker ( gurgs, gurr gurr) 3 and baby Gage ( major) is 4 months.

PS. Did I mention we are DIE HARD Skins fans?

Let's have a little chat.
Why the new blog you ask?
Where have I been the last few years?

Ok ok, so I have issues, quirks, I'm totally crazy, a life people. You know like growing babies, trying not to kill the babies I grew and birthed ...the fact that some have already lived past 3 are numbered among my greatest accomplishments... having anxiety, not getting out of bed for a whole summer, finding sertraline, getting out of bed, sort of life.
Because of my issues, quirks and total craziness OCD, desire to start fresh, the fact that as much as brinley thinks it is, the world does not revolve around her. So out with the old ( brinleysworld.blogspot.com ) and in with the new.

Here's to the hope I keep up with this fresh start. But I am me so lets not set our expectations to high .
